Canadian County | List of Cities | Growth and Population
Founded in 1890 with a long and rich history, Canadian County is today, 900 square miles and an estimated population of 103,559 residents as of the year 2007. El Reno, Oklahoma is the county seat. As of 2007, there were over 40,000 housing units in the county. Cities listed in Canadian County are: Calumet – El Reno – Mustang – Piedmont – Union City – Yukon
This does not include all of the smaller rural areas scattered through out the county.

El Reno Located in the heart of the Canadian River Valley, El Reno is home to the El Reno Regional Airport, Historic Fort Reno and the popular El Reno Main Street. The town is proud of its many historic homes and areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They have a fine public school district and many programs for children and seniors alike. The population as of 2007 was a little over 16,000.
Mustang – Mustang OK has just opened the new Mustang City Town Center, where sporting activities and programs for all ages abound. Union City – Located just south of Central Canadian County and five minutes south of I-40 at exit 12.5. Union City is a small town with a population of about 2,000 residents and is experiencing a residential and commercial growth.

Local Higher Education -
Canadian Valley Technology Center Has a training center and campus in the county. The school is geared toward hi tech automotive, computer, cosmetology, nursing and many more technological degrees. They also have full time or short term programs to meet the needs of many.
Redlands Community College has a commitment to the students continued education and a focus on success for each and every student, young or old. They have a full course catalog and many academic programs.
And of course the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University are not far away.
